Having an understanding of potential hazards is key to disaster prevention. Scanning assets and areas of concern with LiDAR or visual images by drones and autonomous systems can create accurate digital models to help you detect safety concerns and better assess risk. About Jay Seidel

Jay Seidel is professor and director of the Fullerton Drone Lab at Fullerton College. He is a Part 107 certified UAS Pilot and has been flying drones since 2016. He is an AUVSI TOP UAV Instructor, a Skydio Certified Instructor, and helped the Fullerton Drone Lab become and ASTM Certified Training Center. Jay is a representative of the FAA’s Safety Team where he is the Drone Pro for Orange and Los Angeles counties. He is also a certified thermographer as well as an experiences photogrammetrist and trains students on acquiring, processing, and interpreting images and data. He authored the textbook "Drones: Training and Applications to Digital Imaging". The Army veteran and California native is the president of the AUVSI California Chapter, which focuses on the advancement of uncrewed systems and robotics represents corporations and professionals in defense, civil and commercial markets across California.
