The FIREBird wildfire detection system provides early warning of wildfires along high-risk corridors such as wildland urban interfaces, property lines, power lines, and roadways. Capable of detecting small fires up to 1000 feet away, fires are typically reported within 2 minutes of detection. Early detection helps lessen the likelihood of small wildfires going unnoticed and growing into large, more destructive events. A smaller fire requires fewer firefighting resources, reduces property damage, reduces liability, and increases public safety.
