Founded out of necessity in 2020, AERAS has evolved into a cutting-edge hub for research and development as it relates to drone technology. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, AERAS is a drone technology company setting new standards in the deployment and application of unmanned aerial systems, particularly as it pertains to precision agriculture, infrastructure, public safety, commercial sanitization, and exterior building/window treatment. Powered by its AER-Force technology, AERAS became the first and only company in the world capable of offering a truly charged electrostatic disbursement system on a drone, on which it carries three separate patents. In collaboration with the Federal Aviation Administration, AERAS received one of the only 137-certifications outside of agriculture to use drones specifically for sanitization and is the only one with charged-electrostatic capabilities. AERAS has used its patented charged-electrostatic drone, combined with EPA best practices, to sanitize and power wash the 2021 and 2022 Kentucky Derbies at Churchill Downs, as well as sanitize PPG Paints Arena for Pittsburgh Penguins’ hockey games the last two seasons.
